The
deck has had a couple of coats of Danish Oil applied and it certainly
brought out the colour. This shot was taken outside and it still looks
quite vivid, indoors the darker grain looks almost Black. The secret
when applying Danish Oil is in the first coat, keep applying it till it
wont absorb any more, then wipe off any surplus as you don't want it to
pool. The second coat won't penetrate the first as the 20/30%
Polyurethane varnish in it's make up forms a barrier when dry.
